Helping people
and the systems that hold them
become whole
Context of Culture provides trauma-informed counseling, consulting, and coaching for individuals, families, and institutions navigating the intersection of identity, culture, and societal hierarchy.
Founder Bernadette Spooner Thompson holds space for honest, sometimes uncomfortable, conversations about who people are, where they come from, and how the world has shaped them, with particular attention to the experiences of children, women, and communities shaped by race, class, and gender.
She believes healing and growth happen in context, not in isolation, and meets each person and organization where they stand, offering clinical expertise alongside lived understanding.
Her goal is simple: to help people and the systems that hold them become more honest, more affirming, and more whole.
